Winners announced in 26th annual Edgewater Arts Festival Juried Art Competition

 

Edgewater, NJ — Winners were announced in 13 categories in the 26th annual Edgewater Arts & Music Festival juried art competition.  The artists won a total of $5250 in seven categories.  Each First Place winner won $500, and Second Place winners won $250.

The winning artists are:

Best of Show – Philippe Janvier, Bronx, NY   $1000, sponsored by Borough of Edgewater

Best Art, sponsored by Mariner’s Bank

      1st Place:  Samuel Augustin, Brooklyn, NY

      2nd Place:  Martha Colon, Weehawken, NJ

Best Craft, sponsored by Whole Foods Market

      1st Place:  Felipe H. Nieto and Beatriz Munoz, Turnersville, NJ

      2nd Place:  Robert Schoenholt, Tenafly, NJ

 

Best Mixed Media, sponsored by Mitchell’s Fish Market

      1st Place:  Yvette Ramosvolz, Andover, NJ

      2nd Place:  Joann Rivera, Paterson, NJ

 

Best Photography, sponsored by Verizon

      1st Place:   Greyly S. Boscan Repizo Edgewater, NJ

2nd Place:  William J. Rutkowski, Elmwood Park, NJ

Best Fiber Arts, sponsored by Edgewater Arts Council

      Student 12 years and younger:  Milana Frias, Age 9, Tenafly, NJ

     Student 13 years and older: Aoi Sejima, Age 17, Fort Lee, NJ

The Festival was held Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 in the Shadyside section of Edgewater.  Over 3000 people attended the day-long event which featured three bands, The Source Dance Lab, artists and vendors.
